Fortune CFO COLLABORATIVE

The Fortune CFO collaborative will gather in person on January 24 at Michelin Star restaurant Mourad in San Francisco.

The CFO collaborative is an invitation-only group of CFOs from leading companies which meets virtually and in person for deep-dive discussions on what is top of mind for finance leaders in 2023.

In January, our conversation will focus on The Future of Capital Investment. The impact of digitalization and transformation across companies, financial markets, industries and globally is changing both the meaning and measurement of capital allocation.  We increasingly have the ability to orchestrate and align financial, human, and social capital in new ways, creating opportunities for innovation and commoditization alike.  This intimate CFO Collaboration dinner in partnership with Workday and Deloitte will gather some of the Bay Area’s top finance leaders to examine the capital allocation future over the next five years, with a lens on how digital capabilities and multi-cloud platforms support new ways to model, measure and improve returns on invested capital. We will be joined by Michael Schrage of the MIT Sloan School of Management and some of the area’s leading CFOs, including Amy Weaver of Salesforce and Barbara Larson of Workday.

Complimentary participation is limited and by invitation only.

Fortune is committed to hosting a safe event and is following guidance issued by local authorities and the CDC. Fortune recommends that participants be up to date with COVID-19 vaccinations and that you self test prior to arrival. If your test is positive, please stay home, even if you do not have symptoms. Similarly, if you are feeling unwell, please stay home. Masking is not required; wearing one is at your discretion.

Overview

The CFO’s role within the organization has never been more important than it is in this moment.

Fallout from the pandemic, and the acceleration of digital transformation across industries, are producing both incredible opportunity and significant risk for businesses and their leadership teams. To help CFOs navigate this challenging landscape, Fortune is building a community for finance chiefs keen to engage with and learn from colleagues across industries.

In partnership with Workday and Deloitte, our CFO Collaborative series will mine insights from some of the world’s top business leaders, including former CFOs-turned-CEOs, about the evolving CFO role. Our sessions will be interactive and peer driven, facilitated by Fortune senior journalists. Attendees will be able to participate in intimate discussions and share their solutions to current challenges that can make a lasting impact within their enterprises. Past speakers included CEOs Jeff Jones of H&R Block Julie Sweet of Accenture, Aneel Bhusri of Workday and Adena Friedman of Nasdaq; Persefoni Deputy General Counsel and Senior VP of Global Regulatory Climate Disclosure, Kristina Wyatt, Crist|Kolder Associates President Clem Johnson, Foreign Policy Research Institute Senior Fellow and NBC News National Security Contributor Clint Watts, as well as the CFOs of Accenture, Toyota North America, Cisco, Workday, Zillow, and AMC Networks.
